Hi Elsie, hope you are alive and well. I've just got to say God bless the BBC for repeating the best. Its 26th December now and I just got home - as usual nothing on the 69 freeview channels that I could be watching, but BBC radio 3 replays an evening from the Proms (August 2011) - Nigel Kennedy and Friends. Bach and jazz - bit of Grappelli in there to. The Maestro was playing it like a banjo(again)-pure magic- and then it was a violin again; such wonderful, such beautiful sound. I was very lucky to hear it. Anyway, many seasons greetings to you and yours. Long live Nigel Kennedy xxx

I'm so desperately sorry about this, but there's absolutely nothing I can do about it. Nigel's manager tells me that she and Nigel had nothing to do with the cancellation either and that it is beyond their control also. I know how I would feel if this happened to me and you two have all my sympathy.

Just received a message from St. Davids Hall in Cardiff about the cancellation of the Nigel Kennedy Concert of 12th September. My husband and I specially booked and paid for flight tickets, train tickets and hotels to attend this concert. We have a LOSS of more than 500 GBP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! besides the price for the tickets, because everything is non-refundable. We are deeply shocked and more than disappointed that the concerts have been rescheduled, as we cannot change our arrangements. Please be aware, we only fly to the UK and made all the arrangements to go to this concert and feel enormously betrayed. Henny, Netherlands
